Small Gutter Adze is a kind of Adze with a rounded end. It is used for hollowing out timber (for example: making a trough for old-style gutter & notch work in log building and also for bowl/chair carving). The short handle makes it much easier for the user to work closer to the log or block of wood.
This small bowl adze is hand forged from 4140 steel. Has a handcrafted handle that is about 8-9 inches long.
The blade is 1 3/4″ – 2 ” across for aggressive cutting and smith finish.
Overall weight is 24-27 oz.
